Book Readings
One of 蓝色的’s favorite things to do is to share this book with children through book readings. These school visits have become quite the popular school fundraiser silent auction pieces. If you are interested in having 蓝色的 visit your classroom or for a book reading to be donated to your auction please fill out our appearance request form. Details on appearance protocol can be found on our Appearance Requests page.
Illustrated by Jingo de la Rosa, Good Boy, 蓝色的! features some familiar faces from around the Butler campus that Bulldog fans are sure to recognize.

Illustrated as “持久性有机污染物” in the book, “Good Boy, 蓝色的!” Michael Kaltenmark played the role of “持久性有机污染物” to the Butler University live mascot program in real life as well. His experiences as caretaker of Butler 蓝色的 II inspired the book and it is likely that his care for Butler 蓝色的 III (Trip) will yield more prose in the future. In 2021 Kaltenmark accepted a role as the Director of Marketing at the Indianapolis Motor speedway. He and his family, including the now Mascot Emeritus, Butler 蓝色的 III (Trip), reside in Westfield.

I’m a commercial illustrator, art educator, and reluctant cat lover. I was born and raised in the beautiful islands of the Philippines and now call the lovely city of Indianapolis, IN my home. Like many of my peers, I’ve been drawing since I was knee-high and haven’t stopped since.
When I’m not making art, you’ll normally find me running along Indy’s Cultural Trail, sketching and enjoying a beverage at a local coffee shop (my current favorites: Tinker Coffee at The Amp, Leviathan Bakehouse, and Provider), or cheering on my beloved Pacers and Colts!
You can also visit my studio at The Harrison Center during our open studio nights, on select First Fridays of the month.
